1. As a TD you are required to host 10 tournaments per week. A week is from Sunday through Saturday. Please pre-set your tournaments as much in advance as possible. Pre-setting helps Admins and other TD's see what times need extra attention. We host over 800 tournaments a week so having a full calendar is a priority. Remember no slot blocking. Fill in your tourneys from the time you want to host until the time you want to finish. Make blocks minimum of 1 hour and maximum of 5 hours.
If you have not hosted for 2 weeks in a row (without clearing it with the td manager):
~1st offense, you will be placed on vacation and you must contact the td manager to discuss.
~2nd offense, you will be removed from staff.
Of course we understand there will be times you cannot host. Let the TD manager know so these rules can be waived.
2. Due to the fact we host so many tourneys and the lobby gets so confusing at times there are certain hosting rules that we must insist you follow. These rules will be supplied to you when you become a TD and it will be your responsibility to know them and follow them.
3. We are a team. We are also the league leaders. We must work together without conflict and show respect for each other and the members at all times. We do not expect you to be best friends with everyone however you must be civil to all members and staff. We cannot expect the players to be respectful if we ourselves are not.
4. ALL TD's must read emails, daily results and message forums.
~Daily Buzz - Go to our home page, click standings tab, click "Daily Buzz" (directly below the standing tab).
~Message Forums - Go to our home page, click community tab, click "Message Forums" (directly below the community tab).
5. A TD needs to help new members with any problems that arise and help people join the league. TD's should be nice and considerate to all the members of the league.
6. Make sure you pay attention to the lobby at all times. If you have to leave your computer ask another TD if one is present to watch your tourneys for you. Also say BRB in lobby to the members so they will know you are not at your computer.
~Should an emergency arise get a HTD or Admin to run your tourneys for you. Make sure they know you are leaving before you leave the lobby.
7. A TD should inform all members to not go to the tables without their permission (KIBITZER / WATCHING), if you don't inform the members then they will not know. All TD's do this differently. Members cannot watch one another play.
8. TD'S should be in the lobby at least 30 minutes before their tourneys start.
9. Please DO NOT try and help your fellow TD's in the lobby with posts. The chat in the lobby is often so heavy it just adds to the confusion and causes posts and help for players to be missed. If you believe the TD has missed something (give them a minute or 2 after you see it) then IM them and ask.
10. Please be considerate of the TD hosting before you and do not start asking for players in yours until theirs are running. You can always send them a message asking if you can advertise both of your tournaments or vice versa (we are a team).
11. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE DO WE SPAM OUR LEAGUE INFO IN ANY OTHER SAFE HARBOR LOBBY
~whether it's in your league name or any other name you may have on SAFE HARBOR you still can NOT spam this info anywhere else but our lobby.
~If you see any other league advertising their league info in the KF lobby: Please take a screen shot, if possible, and get an ADMIN so it can be dealt with ASAP. If an admin is not online either email them with the info and the name of the person that spammed it or leave the admin an offline.
12. Always remember that the players have bad days (we do too but we must not let them see it). Don't take these things personal as tomorrow they will love you as much as they did yesterday.
